Greetings in the name of Christ, the bearer of our sin and the giver of mercy.

In preparation for the fall, we are gathering interest for the junior confirmation class.

The goal is to confirm our children in the 6^th grade so that we can have two years of communicant membership prior to entering high school. This will provide us with an opportunity to cultivate a deeper understanding of God’s Word in the context of practicing their fellowship in Christ’s body and blood at a younger age. This will also move us away from a “graduation from church” mentality that has coincided with “graduating from 8^th grade.”

This will benefit both our children and their families by enabling us to develop a stronger junior high youth program to connect them with the activities of our congregation in both biblical study, the sacramental life, and social activities to encourage a closer community of the saints.

This year two classes will take place on Tuesday nights from 6-7:30. Mr. Clark and Mr. Weber will teach a class of 5^th and 6^th graders. Pastor Sell will teach a class of 7^th and 8^th graders. The 7^th and 8^th graders will be confirmed on May 4^th 2014. 

The class will consist of 5th graders – 8^th graders. Both the 7^th and 8^th graders will be confirmed next May 2014.

The following year, May of 2015 7^th graders will participate in the right of confirmation.
